Gemotions

The office felt unusually quiet. John had arrived early, making sure everything was in perfect order. He’d even organized the supply closet, a task he’d put off for years. His chest felt expansive, his breath deep and regular. He enjoyed this feeling of release.

As the elevator doors opened, a tall, thin man with a briefcase appeared, looking slightly lost. John stood, offering him a hearty grin.

"You must be Daniel!" he boomed. "Come on in, make yourself comfortable. We've got a lot to get through, but I’ve got everything prepped. It should be easy enough."

He clapped Daniel on the back.
